Halloween Party
This year's Halloween party was quite
the sucess. There were deccorations, food, candy and most importantly
a FOG machine! Our Halloween movie was "Van Helsing"
with Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale.

Orientation
The CRESS Orientation meeting took
place on September16th. We had a representative from CUPE3903
who spoke to us about the Union, Professor Peter Tailor who
spoke to us about the department and we introduced the new CRESS
Executive (that's us!).

Career Workshop
The career workshop was a success. The speaker
was the president of MCB solution, Lionel Laroche, who has wide
experience on helping people search for jobs. During the workshop,
he analyzed why it is difficult for people to find positions in
Canada and showed a twelve-step process that, when implemented
systematically, will lead them to find suitable employment. The
participants found that it was an informative and instructive
workshop. A lot of unique information about the Canadian job market
and culture was shared. We believe our careers will greatly benefit
from this workshop in the future!
