Mission Statement
The Centre for Research in Earth and Space Science serves as an agent to enhance and facilitate collaborative, interdisciplinary research, with a focus on research themes that draw on expertise available within the CRESS membership. These are: Astronomy and astrophysics, atmospheric dynamics, chemical physics, geodynamics, geomatics, remote sensing, the space environment and robotics.
Goals
- Actively to encourage, promote and facilitate thematic studies in the
fields of Earth and Space Science by means of cooperative and interdisciplinary
research both within and beyond York University
- To
enhance the graduate program in Earth and Space Science by coordinating access
to equipment, laboratories and facilities in support of graduate research in Earth
and Space Science
- To project an awareness of CRESS activities
